It was in a box of 19th c clothing. There were both women's and men's clothing in the box. Measuring 21 1/2 inches square, it is treadle sewn on three sides with one selvage side. It is fashioned out of a blue with white check cotton mill work of the era. Condition is very good with the fabric being strong and supple. There is one freckle size white spot (see photo), which i believe is a fabric flaw. Please note: the color is nice and strong, and consistent as in all of the photos but the one showing the spot. I had a bit of glare and had trouble gettng the image. It is a wonderful remnant of farm fashion and culture in the lehigh valley.
