Men's button fly mounted pants. Maximum inseam - 33 inches. Upper thigh - 33 inches. Please note: trousers were worn higher back in the day.
You need to measure your natural waist, not where you wear your modern pants. Please measure right above your belly button. If you have any questions please let me know.
Length - these are unhemmed and can be custom hemmed to a maximum inseam length of 33. Fabric - these trousers are made with a brushed brown fabric that has a wonderful soft feel to it. The reinforcement is brown cotton corduroy.
Both fabrics have been pre-washed in hot water. 2 side pockets and a watch pocket. 5 brown bone buttons to close the front and 6 matching suspender buttons. The raised, fishtail, back has a split "v" shaped waist band. Most seams are felled to keep them from fraying and add strength.
Most of my work is by custom order and i'd be happy to work with you. I recently demonstrated treadle sewing at the bloomsburg pa state fair. While i was there i worked on these trousers. They are somewhere i the pile of work in the last photo. Only the button holes and buttons are stitched using a modern machine. This item is made of cotton corduroy and two pronged buckle, bone buttons, brushed cotton fabric. The style is historical and victorian.
