Revival vintage 1940s 50s style edwin trousers. Here we have another pair of authentic reproduction trousers with all the features of the true vintage late 1940s pair taken from our archive collection. They sit high on the waist compared to a modern fashion pair of pants. The button fly fastening plus buttons for attaching trouser braces all mirror the looks of the forties and fifties decades. They have a pair of pleats to each side front, partially stitched close at the top so they lay nice and flat across the tummy. There are tab and buckle fixtures at the hips, as much for decoration as adjusting the size. Period accurate straight vertical side seam pockets, again most modern trousers have slanted versions.
There is a curved seam across the back waist and a working back pocket with shaped flap. Turn up hems with a 46 cm / 18 hem circumference. An exact replica of our original pair. The fabric content is a polyester, rayon & spandex blend.Sizing note please read before ordering. Inside leg measurements are approx 31 on all pairs however please take into account the trouser rise which is lower and adds at least another inch to the length. They are also available in a choice of our finished turned up hem cuff or raw edge to allow a tailor to finish to a precise length for your height. The unfinished inside leg is 35. They are high waisted and so the cut of them may mean a tighter fit.
We recommend ordering the next size up or for better accuracy measure yourself just below the belly button.
